Hola! Fellow Travelers, allow me to bring you on a journey of words through the treasures I discovered in Italy, a country that captivates with every sigh of its history and beauty! 🗺️💖. This is a recap of my most recent visit to Italy with one of my business partners.

Our fist stop was:

  1. Rome: The Eternal City

ree

  • Strolling through the Colosseum and the Roman Forum is like walking through the corridors of time. The grandeur of Rome unfolds before you, reminding you why it's the Eternal City.

  • Something I had never done before while in Rome and visiting the Vatican Museum was "The Bramantes Staircase". If you have never been you "MUST". The views from the top are to die for.

  • To top it off we had dinner at Cooking with Mamma. from here I only have high hopes for the rest of the food experience. Mamma Deborah knows how to cook and entertain you.

After that we went on to:

2. Perugia: Jewel of Umbria

ree

  • Nestled in the hills of Umbria, Perugia envelops you with its medieval charm and panoramic views. A hidden gem that deserves to be discovered! Here we met with Martha, a weaving artist and learned about her project. Our business partners make travel sustainable by an organization call TreadRight Foundation and we visited Martha's Atelier as part of that.

We then drove to:

3. Pisa: Beyond the Leaning Tower

ree

  • Pisa goes beyond its famous tower. The Piazza dei Miracoli is an impressive architectural ensemble that will leave you breathless. Did you know there's a walk even before you do the walking in Pisa? Well yes my dear but... with our magnificent business partner you don't have to walk. They provide trams that take you right at the entrance.

This was just a short stop as Pisa is small town. So we headed to:

4. Florence: Birthplace of the Renaissance

ree

  • In Florence, art and culture embrace you at every turn. From the Uffizi Gallery to the Ponte Vecchio, every step is a leap into the Renaissance. to me visiting this city was all about The Medici's. While strolling by the streets all I could think of was the Medici's walked this same streets and was in total awe.

  • We also had the "Be Our Guest" experience. Let me tell you visiting and eating in a villa from the 1200 is an experience you need to have. Giada, her villa, family and food was all incredible.

And then to our last stop of the trip:

5. Venice: City of Canals

ree

  • Navigating the canals of Venice is stepping into a world of romance and elegance. A unique experience that has no comparison! Again our business partners made sure we had a great an unique travel experience so we learned how to drive a gondola.

  1. Murano and Burano: Dream Islands

ree

  • The islands of Murano and Burano, famous for their glass and lace, add a touch of color and unique craftsmanship to your journey. In my opinion this are must visit islands. We were able to visit a glass factory and learned about the glass blowing technique in Murano and then had dinner in one of the best restaurants in Burano.
