New Entry Requirements For Italy Mar. 1, 2022

If you are thinking of going to Italy after March 1, 2022 beware of the new entry requirements.


Starting March 1, 2022 all countries are categorized as the European Union countries. This means that from this day on we can all travel to Italy without entry requirements if we are fully vaccinated. If 9 months have passed since you were vaccinated you'll need boosters.This are vaccinations approved for Italy; Cominarty by Pfizer-BioNtech,Moderna, Vaxzevria, Jansen (johnson & Johnson) and Nuvaxovid (Novavax). USA vaccination certificates are accepted. You'll also be required to filled the passenger locator form https://app.euplf.eu/#/ If you're not vaccinated you'll need a PCR test within 72 of arrival or antigen test within 48 hours of arrival and no quarantine is required anymore.


It is important to highlight the fact that if you fly to Italy you must wear an FFP2 or its equivalent N95 in the plane ride. This mask are also required in public or tourist places like The Colosseum and restaurants. If in an open space you don't need the mask.
